Folk rock musician Father John Misty has shared a kaleidoscopic video for "Chateau Lobby #4 (In C For Two Virgins)." The song is from his upcoming album I Love You, Honeybear, which will be released February 10th, 2015 through Sub Pop. Watch the video above via YouTube.
The video, created by he and his wife (Emma Tillman) on their wedding anniversary, is a kaleidoscope journey of images that show the couple swimming, laughing, taking pictures, and having breakfast. The song's mood of romanticism is uplifted by horns and strings supporting Father John's personal lyrics. A Spanish / mariachi influenced sound in the horns and rhythms can be heard while we watch this clip of two lovebirds.
On Father John Misty's Facebook page, you can read a heart-felt description from him detailing the inspiration of the video and the title's meaning. Here's an excerpt:
"I don’t care if you like the video or not. The label isn't crazy about it. Management isn't crazy about it. I have been informed I'm basically kissing an MTV Woody award goodbye forever. I made it on an iPad on my wedding anniversary with the one I love. We ate pancakes.
I Love You, Honeybear is available for pre-order on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes. All CD and LP pre-orders will come with 8 demos on cassette, but pre-orders for the digital album will not.
