Singer/songwriter Amos Lee released his album Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song yesterday, and last night he appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to play "Chill in the Air," a cut off the new record.

Lee was accompanied by a five-piece band, including a banjo player and lap steel guitar player, both of whom added a level country flair to his otherwise mellow jam. Letterman seemed thrilled to have the band there, proclaiming, "Gosh, that was lovely," and pulling his usual move of complementing the drummer on his "beautiful" kit.
