"City Dump" - Melvins [SoundCloud Official Audio]

"City Dump" is an incredibly heavy song. The rhythm guitars are sludgy, with some cool fuzzy lead guitar parts being layered on top. The drums are rock solid, with an obvious John Bonham influence. The vocals are in your face. "City Dump" is definitely an appropriate name for this nasty metal rock tune. To me, it sounds a lot like Beastie Boys' songs "Gratitude" and "So What'cha Want" from the Check Your Head album.

The SoundCloud description reads:

The Melvins - “American Cow,” from the forthcoming album Tres Cabrones.
“Tres Cabrones is as close as we’re willing to get to the Melvins 1983 line-up,” explained Osborne, of the 12-song album that reunites him, Dale Crover and original drummer Mike Dillard. “The best part is it’s all new songs. I specifically wrote tunes that would be good for these guys to play and it worked out great. We had no interest in rehashing tunes we wrote 30 years ago and chose instead to simply create NEW songs. It worked out perfectly.”
