Punk band Desaparecidos, led by Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst, have announced that they will be releasing a new album titled Payola, which is set for a June release. Above, you can listen to "City On The Hill," the first single from the upcoming album.
The politically charged song features distorted stop-and-go guitar strumming combined with Oberst's chilling screams. The intensity picks up as the song changes into a hyper punk rock anthem in certain points. Guesting on the tune is Cursive guitarist Tim Kasher.
Payola is Desaparecidos's second album, and first since 2002. Pre-order it on Kings Road Merch.
