When three of the most talented guitarists in history get together for a song, you know it's gonna be special!
Today, Buddy Guy has shared a new song called "Cognac" — featuring Jeff Beck and Keith Richards — from his upcoming studio album, The Blues Is Alive And Well. LIsten above.
The track drips with soul, with the backing band providing a groovy backbone. This is classic Chicago blues, with references to drinking, women, and the late Muddy Waters. Buddy is still going strong, and keeping things light with lyrics like, "Reefer make me mellow / And whiskey make me wild / Get a couple of glasses / And let's get drunk in style." So sit back, and let the flavorful riffs tickle your eardrums.
