Electro-funk duo Chromeo have just shared a third song from their upcoming album White Women. "Come Alive" features guest vocals from Toro y Moi (AKA Chaz Bundick), and is funkier than anything we've heard thus far in 2014.

With a keyboard boogie that brings to mind more than a few Hall and Oates songs, "Come Alive" finds this merry band of funkateers trying to persuade an overworked woman to forget her career-related woes and get down "right now on the kitchen floor." Bundick and Chromeo's Dave 1 both sound smoother than I imagine anyone else could when delivering lines such as: "Night shift, day shift, we could go anywhere and they won't say shit," and present a shockingly convincing argument that basically equates to "Sex > Money."

White Women still doesn't have a release date, but it will apparently feature Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig, Solange Knowles, and LCD Soundsystem’s Pat Mahoney, as well as Bundick. Chromeo ft Toro y Moi "Come Alive" Lyrics:

I asked your boss for your number
I never wondered which way you would go
You woke me up from my slumber
Now let me make your work flow
It's not a lot, but all I wanna do
Is skip town on a weekend with you
There's still so much to discover
There's still a lot we don't know

Come alive
Give it up girl before you lose your mind
Come alive
Got you under pressure doing overtime

You're working double just to have a life
I like to think that it's just a phase
Dreading anything that takes your time
Seconds pass and you're on your way
Help me understand what you need
Help me figure out what isn't right
Consider swimming if you start to sink
Or you could get left behind

[Bridge: Dave 1]
Night shift, day shift
We could go anywhere and they won't say shit
I wish I could love you down right now on the kitchen floor
'Cuz we've got something so real
However they feel doesn't really matter no more
So let's see you walk up out of that door
