Yesterday, Nashville's Kings of Leon recorded a cover of Robyn's electro-pop single "Dancing On My Own" for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. The band takes a decidedly different to approach to the song, slowing down the peppy dance beat but bringing the track to life with reverb-drenched guitars and Caleb Followill's powerful, gritty vocals. Try it out in the player above.
Kings of Leon have been hard at work touring and recording. They will play at the iTunes Festival in London tonight, and they have tour dates scheduled through the fall, including appearances at New York's Global Citizen Festival and Austin City Limits. The band also has an album in the works: Mechanical Bull, which bassist Jared Followill calls "more musically complicated" than the band's previous five records. The album is due out on September 24th.
