The Mirror has reported that David Bowie has been offered a "multi-million pound" deal by Live Nation to play at Olympic Park in East London, and AEG is expected to make a similar offer for him to play their big London outdoor venue, Hyde Park.

Earlier this year, Bowie surprised many when he released The Next Day, his first album in 10 years. He stopped touring in 2004 after having a heart attack on stage. His last performance was in 2006, when he performed "Changes" with Alicia Keys in New York City.

In the Mirror's report, Bowie's guitarist Earl Slick told The Mirror, "There’ll definitely be no shows this year, I can tell you that. As for next year, who knows?"

STV Entertainment released a quote from Bowie's wife, Iman, who said "We have a 12 year old in school, so we are stuck, we can't travel."

A provocative piece in the London Evening Standard quoted an unnamed source that Bowie was feeling "stage fright" and may not play any shows next year at all. The same article had an anonymous spokesman for Bowie saying, “There are currently no plans to tour but we are not ruling anything out.”

Earlier today, a representative from Live Nation made a statement to Billboard that previous reports about Bowie's comeback were "completely inaccurate" (whatever that means).

2014 will mark the 50th anniversary of Bowie’s first single, "Liza Jane," released with the King Bees at the tender age of 17 when he was known as Davie Jones.

Here at Zumic, we're hoping Bowie is feeling healthy.
