HAIM's debut full length album, Days Are Gone, hits stores September 30, but the whole thing is streaming on NPR right now. The band, made up of three sisters and their drummer, has been making waves lately, opening up for big acts like Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and even Ke$ha.
Days Are Gone is a little bit pop, a little bit indie rock, and the girls' musical influences are evident throughout. From the TLC-esque "My Song 5," to the Shania Twain-influenced "The Wire," to the title track, "Days Are Gone," which sounds more than a little like Fleetwood Mac, HAIM has taken decades of music and cut them up and put it all back together to make Days Are Gone sound familiar, but at the same time all their own.
Go to NPR to stream Days Are Gone now. You can pre-order it on iTunes as well.
