As people get vaccinated and COVID-19 restrictions ease, the concert world is finally getting back to being as strange as it used to be. With that, Dead & Company have announced their tour itinerary. This year, the band will be celebrating six trips around the sun together (and 56 since the birth of the Dead). "Oh, woah, where does the time go?"

Originally planned for the summer of 2020, the newly rescheduled dates are now happening from August into October of 2021. Bobby, Billy, Mickey, John, Oteil, Jeff, and the rest of the gang will make stops at large-scale outdoor venues across America, including multiple nights in Boston, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles. The Grateful Dead torch bearers also announced that they will be hosting their next Playing in the Sand event in Mexico in January of 2022.

For those who aren't familiar with Dead & Company, the group started in the wake of the Grateful Dead's 50th anniversary concerts of 2015. Core members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bob Kreutzmann, joined with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti, to create a new group. Over the past few years, they have played well over 100 concerts — mostly in stadiums and arenas.
