U.K. shoegaze band Swervedriver have just released their first song in fifteen years. "Deep Wound" was posted on Bandcamp earlier today, and includes vocal contributions from Ride's Mark Gardener. Take a listen above.

Accompanied by an alternate take of the song entitled "Dub Wound," this track originally appeared on a 7" sold by the band during their 2013 summer tour. "Deep Wound" is a high energy cut that hearkens back to Swervedriver's '90s heyday, with titanic riffs and dreamy vocals both doused in the reverb that came to define former Swervedriver producer Alan Moulder's signature sound. "Dub Wound" is more sparse, groovy and psychedelic. Take your pick, both versions of the song great.

According to the band's official website, "A full length Swervedriver album is planned for 2014." Coupled with this new single, that announcement is sure to send the band's fans into frenzied excitement akin to what My Bloody Valentine fans experienced in 2013. Shoegaze lives!
