On September 13th, Deer Tick will play a sold out show at the Brooklyn Bowl to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's In Utero. The band will perform the entire album under the moniker Deervana, a name they regularly use when covering their favorite grunge band. As frontman John McCauley told Rolling Stone in 2012, "We have done entire sets of Nirvana songs before. That was a tribute, and we weren't trying to put our own spin on it. Nirvana is my favorite band."
Nirvana's In Utero will be reissued on September 24th with over 70 bonus tracks. You can pre-order it on Nirvana's official site now. On the same day, Deer Tick will also drop their own new studio album. Negativity can be pre-ordered on iTunes. Deer Tick will also be touring North America from September through November - see dates and tickets on their official website.
