Chicago instrumental metal band Pelican have shared a video for their 2013 song "Deny the Absolute." The footage was shot by director Kenneth Thomas during the band's West Coast June tour this past year. Watch it above via Pelican's YouTube.

The video goes between the band playing in an intimate venue and clips of them on the road, and having a fun time. There are also some slightly bizarre shots of the band playing, surrounded by stuffed animals, trees, and snow in a forest-like setting. "Deny the Absolute" is an instrumental masterpiece of brutal guitars, ground shaking bass, and thunderous drums. The hard-hitting song serves as the soundtrack while we see multiple scenes of the band on stage unleashing their fury in front of an audience. It's not all seriousness though, as clips of the band flashing money bring a touch of humor.

Pick up their 2013 album, Forever Becoming, on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.

The band will be releasing a new EP on February 24th, 2015 titled The Cliff. For Pelican's latest music, news, and tour dates, check out their Zumic artist page.
