The identified alleged drunk driver from last week's deadly SXSW incident, turns out to be a musician who was scheduled to perform. According to XXL sources, 21 year old Rashad Charjuan Owens goes by the name KillingAllBeatz and K.A.B254. The Killeen, Texas native and father of six was said to perform at Club 1808 (not affiliated with the music festival), just about a mile away from the crime scene.

The Austin American-Statesman reports that Owens tried to pull a stunt by escaping a drunk driving check point. Owens is then said to have "hurtled past a barricade on Red River Street and plowed through dozens of SXSW revelers." He continued to proceed down the opposite direction of a one way street, drove back on to Red River for two more blocks and eventually crashed into a parked van.

“The driver then attempted to flee on foot before he was stunned with a Taser gun and detained by the police officer who originally tried to pull the man over at a gas station…” stated the American-Statesman.

Recent reports from KEYETV states that there are now three casualties. A cyclist from the Netherlands and an Austin female on a scooter were said to have been killed due to the incident. The third victim was listed in critical condition and died on Tuesday, after suffering from injuries.

According to the Associated Press, Owens "has been jailed on $3 million bond, and prosecutors are expected to seek additional charges against him from a grand jury."

My Sanantonio also reports that Owens has a previous history of DUI and was charged for "leaving the scene of the same incident."
