Devo At Times Square, NYC 10.12.2014 Setlist:
Yesterday, The CBGB Music & Film Festival celebrated its third year with a free concert in the heart of Times Square, NYC. One of the acts who performed was new wave band Devo. You can watch a YouTube video of their complete set above.
The band performed ten songs for a set that lasted nearly an hour. They played fan favorites such as "Whip It" and "Jocko Homo," as well as an interesting cover of The Rolling Stones' hit "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction." Thousands of fans and tourists were highly entertained as the band included choreographed dancing into their songs. Midway through the set, singer Mark Mothersbaugh jumped into the energized crowd to share the microphone. Towards the end, Devo stripped off their yellow suits to perform in t-shirts and shorts. Their performance in Times Square was a memorable experience for anyone who witnessed it.
Devo will be releasing a live album titled Miracle Witness Hour on November 17th. The songs on the recording are from a 1977 show that took place at The Eagle Street Saloon in Cleveland, Ohio. You can find more information on that release on the Futurismo Records official website.
