Kieran Hebdan, AKA Four Tet, just dropped an unannounced mix on his SoundCloud page last night, tweeting out a link with the simple title "dj mix jan 2014." Check it out in all of its 67 minutes of glory above.

While his albums can often house many different strains of electronic music under one roof, it's really in mixes like these where the quicksilver character of Hebdan's music shines through. In just over an hour, he blends woozy trip-hop, deep house, drum and bass, ambient fare, and even some more orthodox house music with nary a hiccup. In fact, the mix seems to pick up pace as it goes on, making it the perfect pump-up soundtrack for anything that requires you to go from zero to sixty in 67 minutes.

With the individual contents of this mix still unknown, Hebdan has received numerous requests for its tracklist, including one from his father:

Will we hear some of this stuff on the follow-up to last year's Beautiful Rewind, or is it merely a collection of outtakes? Who knows. For more Four Tet, check out Atoms for Peace's remix of his song "Pyramids," and a previously-unreleased version of "Unspoken," right here on Zumic.
