Today, The Dead Weather have released their third studio album, Dodge and Burn, via Third Man Records. The 12-track album was recorded at Jack White's Third Man Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Dead Weather are Alison Mosshart (vocals, lyricist), Dean Fertita (guitar, keyboards, piano, backup vocals), Jack Lawrence (bass, backup vocals), and Jack White (drums, percussion, vocals, guitar).

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Alison shared how the songwriting process came together:

There’s not a lot of thought put into the writing of the music, it’s really just a human, organic explosion. Everyone starts playing at the same time and we start writing lyrics at the same time — just making stuff up and singing.

She also shared what it was like working with such talented band members:

It’s a magical thing, finding people you can play music with effortlessly like that, I look at all these songs as a gift and I think, "How in the hell have I wandered upon this twice in my life?"

Tracks we recommend are "I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)," "Buzzkill(er)," "Three Dollar Hat," "Be Still," and "Cop And Go."

Pick up Dodge and Burn on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can also stream the full album above for free, via Spotify.
