At this year's 2016 Northwest String Summit music festival, bluegrass veterans Yonder Mountain String Band busted out a jam-heavy cover of Pink Floyd's 1977 Animals song "Dogs." Watch it above, courtesy of the band's YouTube.
Clocking in at nearly 26 minutes, the band tackles the Pink Floyd tune with amazing versatility and musicianship, joined by Jay Elliott on drums and Asher Fulero on keys and vocals. They give it a bluegrass feel combined with electronic flourishes and stellar violin, banjo, keyboard, and mandolin solos. You've probably never heard Pink Floyd music quite like this!
During the concert, they actually played the entire Animals album in its entirety. Pick up the full recording from YMSB at livedownloads.com.
