"Don't Give Up" - Washed Out [Youtube Official Lyric Video]

Ernest Greene's Washed Out project has a new album coming out on August 12th of this year entitled Paracosm, and today he has shared the lyric video for "Don't Give Up". The track is vintage Washed Out, featuring Greene's signature nonchalant vocal delivery and a laid back, stoned-in-the-summer-watching-the-sun-go-down-on-the-porch vibe to the fuzzed out music.

Paracosm is being released by Sub Pop and was produced by fellow Georgian Ben Allen whose recent credits include the likes of Animal Collective, Deerhunter and Gnarls Barkley. Washed Out choose a more organic approach for Paracosm, eschewing electronics for actual instrumentation, with Greene stating that over 50 instruments were used in the recording of the album. Washed Out's live show has been ever evolving (and improving) over the years, and this new approach to recording only further piques my interest in what will be in store this time around.
