In 2002, Norah Jones graced the Late Show with David Letterman with her hit song "Don't Know Why." Thirteen years later to the day, she returned to the same stage with a more mature, melancholic version of the same song.

This rendition of "Don't Know Why" is more sparse than her first performance on the show. Having just a lone guitar player at her side, Jones tickles the keys underneath a single spotlight and suddenly the scene is transformed into a lounge-like setting. Her delicate croon washes over the stage, and we revel in the melodic flourishes radiating from her piano.

It's been a few years since Miss Jones released a solo album, Little Broken Hearts, which is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).

Jones' most recent project has been Puss n Boots, an alt-country band with Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper. No Fools, No Fun was released in 2014, and they'll be opening select dates this summer for Neil Young.
