Earlier this year, Grateful Dead guitarist / vocalist Bob Weir held a special event at his TRI Studios for Jerry Garcia's 70th Birthday. The event was called Move Me Brightly, taken from a line in "Terrapin Station."
Above, you can see a 10+ minute video of Bobby jamming the Jerry Garcia epic solo tune "Don't Let Go" with Donna Jean Godchaux on lead vocals, Mike Gordon on bass, Joe Russo and Chris Tomson on drums, Jeff Chimenti and Adam MacDougall on keys, Jonathan Wilson on guitar, and Craig Finn singing backup with someone else who was not easily identified by Zumic staff.
It's a loose jam that Jerry would have surely enjoyed. If you're not a fan of the Grateful Dead, you might say it's a little too loose, but I hear some real nice touches of R&B, rock, and jazz. Always cool to see Phish's Mike Gordon playing in the Grateful Dead camp. Jonathan Wilson does a nice job with the Jerry-esque lead guitar part.
According to TRI Studios website, the video was Directed by Justin Kreutzmann and mixed by Rick Vargas.
