The Smashing Pumpkins have released another brand new track from their upcoming album. Listen to "Drum and Fife" above.

The song goes down in Pumpkins' history as another melodic, uplifting anthem, whereby Corgan delivers sensationalized vocals that feel like he's speaking directly to your soul. It begins with a mystical fife (a type of small flute) and leads into a light guitar riff as he repeats, "You're gonna listen now to me." Okay Billy, we're listening.

The cover artwork features a very adorable baby Billy Corgan playing with his toy drum. Next to the photo it says "APR 68" which would mean this was taken when he was just 1 year old. Looks like he hasn't changed much (aside from the whole shaved head thing).

"Drum and Fife" will be featured on the upcoming highly-anticipated full-length release, Monuments to an Elegy, out December 9th via Martha's Music / BMG. Pre-order it now on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.

Stream the first three new singles, "Tiberius," "One And All," and "Being Beige" here on Zumic.
