Tyler, The Creator dropped his most recent album, Igor, last week. With it came a fresh new music video for the single "EARFQUAKE." Watch above.

During a recent performance for Apple Music, Tyler revealed that "EARFQUAKE" was originally written for Justin Beiber — but Bieber declined the invitation to collaborate. After shopping it around to Rihanna and not hearing back, he ended up collaborating with The Gap Band's Charlie Wilson on the chorus. Additionally, Playboi Cardi is featured on a rap verse toward the end of the track. Tyler explained that he "just wants to write pop songs," which is apparent in this shift to melodic R&B as opposed to the gritty rap sound that helped propel him to fame as part of Odd Future.

The video delivers an emotionally poignant experience, via a campy, mock-talk-show performance, then manages to maintain the comedy even as the set burns up in flames. Tyler sports a vintage pale blue suit, a platinum blonde bob wig, sunglasses, and a gold grill, creating an aesthetic that is somehow as snazzy as it is ridiculous.

Igor is available on Amazon and major streaming services.
