Nardwuar is without question the best hip-hop interviewer in Vancouver. In the YouTube video above, he interviews Earl Sweatshirt and Syd the Kid and gives them some amazing gifts. The gifts include the Black Moth Super Rainbow record Dandelion Gum, and a black power record called Listen, Whitey! that features The Last Poets. This leads to an interesting story that The Last Poets took their name from a poem by Earl Sweatshirt's dad.

Earl Sweatshirt discusses the major influence that MF Doom played on his own style and career, and the story of when they met. Nardwuar sets things up for more gifts: an MF Doom box set with a jigsaw puzzle, and an MF Doom demo cassette tape from Stones Throw Records. We also get some insight into the meeting between Earl and Paul McCartney at NPR.

Not to leave out Syd the Kyd, Nardwuar talks her up about The Internet, which is her music group. Amazingly, the first thing that comes up on the google search for "The Internet" is the wikipedia page for her group. Pretty cool.

Other cool gifts include a record from Barbershop 2 and a poster for Skateboard the movie. Overall, a very entertaining interview.
