On the set of his video shoot for his latest track "Make Room," which features Sheek Louch and Joell Ortiz, legendary rapper / producer Erick Sermon spoke to DJ Vlad about the New York rappers that are still holding it down for hip hop. He also spoke about why he enlisted Sheek and Ortiz for "Make Room."
Sermon, being a part of the old generation of NY emcees, salutes the artists who embrace that classic New York hip hop sound. When asked about who is still holding it down for NY hip hop, Erick stated that the O.G.s Fabolous, Jadakiss, and Jay Z are still championing the city. When it comes to the new era of MCs, his favorites are Troy Ave, Action Bronson, Flatbush Zombies, Joey Bada$$, and A$AP Rocky. Watch the interview above, via YouTube.
