Empty Pools formed only two years ago, but already the band boasts a number of singles, available on their Soundcloud. The latest is "Exploded View," the title track from their upcoming EP. The dreamy melody is sung with confidence and power, and then the song unleashes chunkier guitars and an eerier vibe as vocalist Leah Pritchard sings that "we'll sin and we'll sin and we'll sin." The song is somehow sweet and intense, drawing the listener in as it builds over 5 minutes.
The band's new Exploded View EP will be out on August 26th, and is available for pre-order now on iTunes. Later this year, Empty Pools will release their debut full-length LP, Saturn Reruns, on November 4th. You can pre-order the album on Battle.
