British recording artist Charli XCX debuted her music video for "Famous" during the March 23rd YouTube Music Award Show as one of the 50 artists celebrated by the web's leading video website. In conjunction, they also shared a behind-the-scenes video featuring Charli and director Eric Wareheim.
The abnormal music video is set around the importance of technology in our everyday lives. In the video, a teenage girl dances and jumps around her room watching music videos and texting on her iPhone and iPad, but when both devices lose battery she experiences a freakish adventure. A mysterious world of monsters and oddly dressed adults comes to life. It's a fun video that actually makes some interesting points.
Charli's 2014 single "Boom Clap" hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and currently has over 160 million plays on YouTube.
