On May 2nd, 2014, Fear of Men stopped by KEXP radio to play a few songs from their debut studio record, Loom, which was released earlier this year by Kanine Records.

The British indie pop band has an ethereal quality in their music that contrasts nicely with lead singer Jess Weiss' somber lyrics. Weiss sways gently to the music while she sings with a beautiful, pure tone. One may be surprised her angelic voice is narrating tales of sickness and depression.

The romantic style of band's music is sustained throughout their performance on KEXP. This allows each song to flow effortlessly into the next, but also lends itself to a somewhat monotonous listening experience.

The band is hands-on in all aspects of their project, even the artwork for their album. During their interview with KEXP host, Troy Nelson, the band discussed how they built both the sculpture and its glass case featured on the album cover. The guitarist, Daniel Falvey, even got injured in the process of making the artwork. Fear of Men is clearly dedicated to every aspect of their work which is evident in the precision of their musicianship.

Listen to Fear of Men's full album, Loom, on Spotify. The album is also available on iTunes, Amazon, and their official website.
