Following the incendiary "War Party," here's another new one from sludge rock band Floor's upcoming album Oblation. "Find Away" is slower-paced, but no less thrilling. Stream it above.
Complete with murky distortion, epic guitar neck slides, and Steve Brooks' sky-cracking vocals, the song barrels forward with the air of a huge, prehistoric beast unconcerned with outrunning predators. Floor may not be at the top of the food chain in stoner metal, but their huge sound has been around for so long that nobody's going to mess with them. If Steve Brooks' other band, Torche, is a flashy velociraptor in the sludge metal world, Floor fits in with the Mastodons of the genre.
