The Firefly music festival in Dover, DE has just released their full list of set times. The festival itself takes place June 21-23, and is three jam packed days of incredibly unique music. The headliners for the festival each get a nice 90 minute set, while Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers get a whopping 105. As we all know, someone is bound to get up in arms about the current scheduling. However, as someone who is personally attending, I think they did a pretty incredible job. Conflicts like RHCP vs Earl Sweatshirt and MGMT vs Azealia Banks provide concert goers two wildly different options for two wildly different types of fans. Hopefully there won't be much of an issue there. There are a couple though that will be tougher to choose between. Scottish DJ Calvin Harris is sharing quite a bit of time with indie-rockers Grizzly Bear, as are Passion Pit wtih The Walkmen. I have my choices, do you?
This year, they have also added closeout artists Friday and Saturday after the headliners are done. Electronic acts like The White Panda and Manufactured Superstars will be able to keep the late night kids going long after Tom Petty has fallen asleep.
For a detailed show schedule, check out the Firefly Festival website here. Three day passes are currently sold out, but single day passes have just been released.
We will have a lot more information for you as the weekend gets closer, so stay tuned!
