Prince released another new single yesterday, this one entitled "FIXURLIFEUP." The new song, released with a matching video, features Prince giving a lot of opinions about what people are doing wrong in their lives, and a fair share of advice on, well, how to "fix your life up." Featuring images of printed lyrics to the United Nations seal to short clips of protests, the video includes a lot of shots of Prince pointing directly at the camera with his patented pomp and sass, as if to accuse you personally of any wrongs that have been done. But he doesn't just single you out. At points he branches out from critiquing the individual to critiquing the world in general, and he has noticed that a lot of things wrong.

Supported by all-female band 3rd Eye Girl, Prince includes lines about the power of a woman-dominated band, leaders needing to learn how to follow and stars being born while the ladies rock out on electric guitars ... hard.

This single and a few others that Prince has recently released are set to be on a new album tentatively titled Electrum. A release date has not yet been set. In the mean time you can catch Prince on tour. You can find dates here.
