Last night, The Flaming Lips performed a couple tracks from their newly released album With A Little Help From My Fwends on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Watch the official videos below, on YouTube.

The songs are as bombastic as it gets, and a complete makeover from the classic Beatles versions from their masterpiece 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Adding to the weirdness, the band is dressed like characters from The Wizard of Oz while Wayne Coyne and Morgan Delt are in a 2-person rainbow outfit and Grace Potter is dressed as the Wicked Witch of the West. Even though I don't personally like these versions of the Beatles songs that I've loved for many years, I get the feeling that John Lennon would approve.

With A Little Help From My Fwends is availableon Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3), iTunes, and Spotify. Proceeds from the album go to The Bella Foundation, whose mission is to "assist low-income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care."
