This past weekend, TV show Austin City Limits aired a nearly one hour live performance from grunge rockers Foo Fighters. Not only did the band play a great set, but they were joined by a couple of Austin's finest: Gary Clark Jr. and Jimmie Vaughan. You can watch the full episode above.

The band treated fans to a mix of classic songs and new ones from their latest release, Sonic Highways. An energized "Times Like These" immediately had the crowd clapping, and saw Dave briefly step out into the audience while riffing on his guitar. The adrenaline kept flowing for "The Feast and the Famine," the second track from the 2014 album. "Rope" features some intense drumming from Taylor Hawkins, whose energy seems to know no boundaries. "Congregation" is followed by "What Did I Do / God As My Witness," two more songs from the Sonic Highways album. Dave brings out Gary Clark Jr. for the second half of "What Did I Do / God As My Witness," and the two combine their energy to push the tune to new heights.

Texas guitar legend Jimmie Vaughan joins the band for a swaggering version of The Fabulous Thunderbirds' "Tuff Enuff," which is highlighted with guitar interplay between Jimmie, Gary, and Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett. The band revisits their fan favorites and play a relentless "I'll Stick Around," followed by Dave Grohl's soulful shouting during "Walk." Ending their set is an electrifying version of "Best Of You."

Also be sure to check out the awesome 36 minute Q&A between Dave Grohl and ACL TV's Terry Lickona about Sonic Highways over on klru.tv.

You can listen to Sonic Highways here on Zumic. The album is currently available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.

Additionally, the band have begun a world tour in support of the album. You can find more information, as well as their latest music and news information, by checking out their Zumic artist page.
