After releasing their debut album Psychic, NYC duo Darkside have been promoting it by performing live sessions for various music outlets. We've already shown you the RA Sessions version of "Paper Trails," and now you can watch a live performance of "Freak, Go Home" recorded in BBC Radio 1's Maida Vale Studios.
Just as they did with "Paper Trails," Darkside jam quite extensively on "Freak, Go Home," extending its runtime by a few minutes and showcasing deft coordination between members Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington. We're still not sure how they blend bluesy guitar and trendy electronica together so seamlessly, but that's part of Darkside's magic.
