Phantogram has shared a music video for "Funeral Pyre," the lead track from their 2016 album Three. Watch it above, courtesy of the band's YouTube channel. Due to some nudity, the clip is NSFW.

Directed by Gianluca Minucci, the video exhibits the eccentricities of Los Angeles through the lens of a car window. We see a wide range of colorful characters and landmarks that make up the "City of Angels," including street art, restaurants, and houses.

In a press release, Minucci shared a comment about the clip:

A phantasmagoric journey, from dawn to dusk, with people, sites, and situations of Los Angeles. All shot from a car passenger's point of view, the video is a phantom drive in a land of nowhere, where love meets grief, loneliness, violence and desperation. It's a tragic, Pynchonian elegy, of a world destined to a destroying, but perhaps purifying, fire. A descent to hell, the swan song of a city that celebrates its funeral pyre.
