Gary Clark Jr. and his band brought their brand of sweaty psychedelic blues rock to Seattle's KEXP radio for a 20 minute set featuring 4 songs from Clark's 2012 album Blak and Blu. After settling into a groove during the second song, "Travis County" the band really takes things to a high level on the last two songs: "When My Train Pulls In" and "Numb." Clark is carving out a place for himself in the blues rock world with his distorted guitar sounds and ability to hold a slow groove, very much in the footsteps of guitar slingers like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
