Dawes are a Southern Californian rock band that seem to re-invent themselves a bit on each album while staying true to their rock roots. Today, they've released the haunting title track to their upcoming LP, We're All Gonna Die. Listen above on YouTube.

The song "We're All Gonna Die" has a familiar trajectory and subject matter for Dawes tunes, but there are a few interesting twists with lush orchestration and modern production. The melodic yet hushed bassline and minimal drums set a somber mood with Taylor Goldsmith's vocals, while cleverly laid piano and strings create more of a chamber pop sound than we've heard from the band in the past.

This single follows a music video for the funky "When The Tequila Runs Out." The full album We’re All Gonna Die is scheduled to be released on September 16, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon.
