Underground rap legends Dilated Peoples have just released the music video for their first single in seven years, "Good as Gone." The video takes place in the desert, with the group stationed in various locations.

The song is produced by DJ Premier. The chorus contains a sample from "Unorthodox" by Joey Bada$$, which was produced by Premier. It's rare to see such an established group, who have been around since 1992, sample a rapper who was born in 1995. Usually hip hop vocal samples work the other way around, with young rappers paying homage to those who have come before them.

"Good as Gone" will live on DP's August 12th LP, Directors of Photography, which you can pre-order now on iTunes and Amazon. The album will have features from Aloe Black, Vince Staples, and more. It will also feature production from some of the best producers in hip hop: Premier, 9th Wonder, The Alchemist, and Jake-One. It's awesome to see the trio back making quality music.
