Google Play has produced a 5-part documentary on legendary punk band The Clash. It clocks in at just under an hour and you can watch the mini-doc in the YouTube playlist above.

The project, a collaboration with Sony Music, features a ton of recently unearthed footage of frontman Joe Strummer discussing the band's career, as well as new interviews with the surviving members. They speak in depth about the creative process, writing, and production of each of their studio albums, as well as some details about their playing techniques and style.

The doc provides amazing insight into the influences and history of one of the greatest bands of all time. Definitely a must watch for any fan.

From the YouTube description:

In this exclusive documentary featuring never-before-seen footage of the late, great Joe Strummer, all four members of "the only band that matters" walk us through the making of each of their classic albums.

This comes timed perfectly with the release of Sound System, the massive box set featuring The Clash's entire discography and a ton of extras. You can find details and buy it at their official website.
