The 10th Annual Billboard Touring Conference will be held at New York City's Roosevelt Hotel on November 13-14. This year, however, the conference will not simply be part industry gathering, part award show. This year, it will feature a unique case study on the Grateful Dead and the band's lasting impact on the music industry today. Expert panel members include former Grateful Dead manager Rock Scully, AM Only agent Lee Anderson, guitar legend and former Dead member Warren Haynes, and EDM rock-star Skrillex. The study, "Golden Road: Lessons From The Dead," aims to examine the band's genre-transcending legacy on fan engagement, community building and, most importantly, touring.

Although somewhat of a lengthy process, you can register for the Billboard Touring Conference online at to buy a ticket for the event (see bottom for prices). Billboard's executive director of content & programming Ray Waddell posits, "This is the type of session one could not see anywhere else."
