King Buzzo and the rest of the Melvins graced Chicago's Humboldt Park with a special performance of "Graveyard" by the Butthole Surfers, accompanied by none other than former Surfers bassist Jeff Pinkus. They tear the song up as a throng of children swarm an ice cream truck behind them. Buzz announces that the ice cream is free, and the kids rush the truck. Eventually, Buzzo gets in the truck himself and starts throwing ice cream out to the kids. It's a very odd juxtaposition. We're not sure what to think, but regardless, they shred. Check out the video above.
According to the band's website, Pinkus is currently filling in for Melvins regular bassist Jared Warren, who's on paternity leave. The Melvins also have a new record called Tres Cabrones coming out in November. Stay tuned to Zumic as further release details become available.
