Last night, Green Day played London's packed Brixton Academy, in preparation for their headlining slots at the upcoming Reading and Leeds festivals. Fans were in for a treat, because the punk band decided to play their major label debut, Dookie, in full. After tearing through a handful of songs from the band's recent trilogy of albums, Green Day launched into Dookie's opening track, "Burnout." They continued through the whole album, energetically playing every song in order until the final track, "F.O.D." They also had time to play another half dozen songs, ending with their classic "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)." Green Day played 30 songs in total. You can watch their performances of all 14 Dookie songs above.

As frontman Billie Joe Armstrong announced during the concert, Dookie's 20th anniversary is next year. There are no confirmed plans yet, but if Green Day follows the lead of other bands that have recently celebrated big anniversaries, we can expect some kind of special commemoration of the punk trio's highest selling album.

Green Day will be playing at the Reading Festival on Friday. Part of their performance will be streamed on BBC Three at 9 pm local time (4pm EST) tomorrow. Green Day is also set to play at Leeds on Saturday.
