Black Flag and FLAG both announced separate reunions earlier this year. The two punk bands are now in a legal battle over copyright infirngement.

Co-founder of Black Flag, Greg Ginn, filed a lawsuit against former bandmates Henry Rollins, Dez Cadena, Keith Morris, Bill Stevenson, and Chuck Dukowski, who all but Rollins have reunited under the name FLAG. Ginn claims that SST Records and himself exclusively own the rights to the Black Flag name and logo that FLAG is using on tour. Friday, Greg Ginn sued his former bandmates seeking an injunction against their current tour, which began in May, and is set to include performances at FYF Fest, Riot Fest, and Fun Fun Fun Fest. The lawsuit alleges that FLAG's name is a "colorable imitation" that is "likely to cause confusion, mistake or deception among consumers."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ginn also accused Henry Rollins and Keith Morris of "lying to the Trademark Office on registrations; using his own label’s record covers to feign as though they’ve been continuing to use Black Flag since 1979, and in an what’s alleged to be an act of ‘outrageous fraud,’ using bootleg SST t-shirts in an attempt to show they’ve been making such products in that time.”
