Last night marked the 17th annual Webby Awards, the awards show that is, according to The New York Times, "The Internet's highest honor." Hosted by comedian Patton Oswald, the awards honored excellence this year in Websites, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video, Mobile & App, and a few new categories having to do with social media.

The categories we care most about, of course, are Artist of the Year, awarded to Grimes and, just this year, the Webby Person of the Year, which went to Frank Ocean. Oswald presented the award to Ocean who couldn't be in attendance, but sent a very appropriate,\ acceptance video to express his gratitude. Fred Armisen presented the Artist of the Year Award to Claire Boucher, also known as Grimes, who, after gushing about her musical talent, accepted her award with the encouraged 5 word speech — "This is for them ... 5 words 6." Grimes, though not a chart topper, got over 9 million hits on her song "Genesis" on Youtube and over 6 million on "Oblivion," performed at Coachella in April and will be performing at Sasquatch! this weekend.

The star-studded night also featured a performance by Tanlines who performed their hit "All of Me." The indie Brooklyn duo jammed out on the brightly lit stage armed with a guitar, synth and a quiet sense of passion. Thank goodness it was filmed.

The rest of the music-related winners are below.
