NME reports that two English men, James Marks and James McCormick, were caught hacking into Sony's files and stealing unreleased Michael Jackson songs in addition to other songs by other Sony artists. Chat logs show that the two intended to sell the files, but they were caught before they could. They avoided time in jail but received 6 month sentences of 100 hours of community service for computer misuse.
