LA band Allah-Las performed a live session for Morning Becomes Eclectic on KCRW. Watch "Had It All" above.
The band is obviously channeling classic '60s rock and roll, a decade that will continue to be borrowed from as long as rock music still lives. Spidery, thin guitar riffs and unruffled backing vocals carry the mid-tempo track along smoothly. The lyrics "Didn't really try 'cause I had it all" parallel the at-ease approach they seem to have in delivering a solid performance. Subtlety is key.
