Fuzzy white carpet, check. Fuzzy red gloves, check. Perfectly glowing fire, check. It's Christmas time. Watch pop singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee perform Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" from an undisclosed and extremely comfortable-looking location. The iconic ballad is by no means a holiday tune, but McKee's gentle yet shockingly powerful vocals certainly make it seem that way.
She told Rolling Stone, "I know 'Hallelujah' isn't actually a Christmas song, but it has that cozy, haunting vibe that sounds like a winter's night and belongs by the fire." The warm tone of a Marshall amplifier produced by a flawlessly finger-picked Gibson SG helps, too.
McKee has plans to release a new album in the spring of 2014 via Epic Records, but no specific information has been announced. For Bonnie McKee's latest music, news, and tour dates, check out her Zumic artist page.
