Paramore is getting ready to do something very different: Early next year, they will be going on a cruise with fans in the Caribbean. It's still some months away, but already the band is excited. Frontwoman Hayley Williams recently spoke about the cruise to Huffington Post:
I am not really fully sure what to expect. But I am just excited to do something different, and to be surrounded by friends, fans and people who want to have a good time. To me, it's something that bands usually do when they're much older and been around for a lot longer than us. I'm just really excited to be able to enjoy it early on. Who knows what it will be like, but if it's great, maybe we will be able to do another one you know.
The cruise isn't the only thing Williams is thrilled about. The band is also set to perform at Madison Square Garden as part of their tour this November.
I'm freaking out, I'm still kind of speechless, I don't exactly know. I don't think I have formed all my thoughts and excitement about it. I'm so psyched. I can't wait to see our fans show up to that place and I have faith that they will. Our show and the energy between us and the people that come to the show is so strong.
Williams also spoke about Paramore's new self-titled album, which came out earlier this year. She describes the record as being about growing up and getting past negativity, only partially inspired by the departure of two co-founding band members in 2010. Paramore has already launched two successful singles, "Now" and "Still Into You."
The PARAHOY! cruise will start in Miami on March 7th, and over the following four days, fans onboard will sail to a private island in the Bahamas. They will also be treated to concerts by Paramore and other artists such as Tegan and Sara, and there will be fun activities with each band member. You can find out more on the official PARAHOY! website. Also check out the announcement video below:
Paramore is available on iTunes now. You can also check out the band on tour. They will be in Europe for the rest of the month, then will tour North America in October and November. Find tickets on the band's official website.
