Last week we heard the first single released from the soundtrack to the upcoming Zach Braff movie, Wish I Was Here. The second single off the album, "Heavenly Father" by Bon Iver, is now available for streaming. Listen to it above.

This song marks the first one for Justin Vernon's Bon Iver since their breakthrough self-titled album came out three years ago. It's backed by a, haunting and beautiful drone, much like an electronic choir. Vernon's vocals are layered and delicate. His lyrics, usually so melancholy, have a glimmer of hope. Even as he sings lines such as, "I just been up here for goddamn years, filling up hulls with goddamn fears," there's a soothing voice in the background that echoes "Can you see now? I am free now."

The soundtrack to Wish I Was Here will be out on July 15th via Columbia. You can watch the movie in theaters July 18th. For more information on Bon Iver, including news, music and tour dates, check out their Zumic artist page.
