Last week, "Hey Brother" was released in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as the third single from Avicii's LP True. Similar to Avicii's hit single "Wake Me Up", the song draws from modern country with a heavy emphasis on acoustic guitar, violin, and a variation on a traditional shuffle drum beat.

"Hey Brother" features twangy lead vocals by Dan Tyminski, of Alison Krauss and Union Station. In an interesting twist, Tryminski is backed on the track by the woman that he's usually backing up, Alison Krauss.

Although he initially received much criticism from the EDM community for "Wake Me Up," Avicii has once again pushed the boundaries of electronic music with his release of "Hey Brother."

You can purchase the song from the album True, on Amazon and iTunes.
